Absences can be reported by emailing aseaway@walnutcreeksd.org, or calling (925)944-6840 x8801, with a detailed message why your student will be late or absent.

The Walnut Creek School District encourages every student to attend school every day.  School attendance has a direct impact on student achievement.  To avoid unnecessary absences, please follow these tips:

• Only miss school due to illness such as vomiting, diarrhea, or fever within the last 24 hours
• Schedule medical appointments and extended trips when school is not in session
• If your child seems anxious about going to school, talk to the teacher, principal, or your doctor for advice

Our middle school day typically begins at 8:25 a.m. and ends at 3:09 p.m., with late start Wednesdays starting at 9:25. For specific days and times, please see our Bell Schedules.

After-school programs are available for families needing extended care.  Contact your school for more information.

CDE defines ELOP as a before-school, after-school or non-school day learning program for grades TK-6^th which focuses on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of pupils through hands-on, engaging learning experiences.  Visit our Extendend Learning Opportunity Program page.

All students get one free breakfast and one free lunch. If a student wishes to purchase Ala Carte items, or a second meal, they must have money in their Titan account.  Please visit our Child Nutrition Services page to set up or add money to your Titan account, view lunch menus, and learn more.
