Under facilitation of CSBA, the Governing Board and Superintendent Jon Campopiano engaged in an interactive Board Governance workshop on August 7, 2026. We reviewed the roles and responsibilities of the Board and Superintendent, and set expectations for the school year (among others). Of note, bylaws require Board members to hold the education of students above any particular principle, group interest or personal interest. The Board acts with a unity of purpose, and no individual member has the authority to resolve complaints. The Superintendent provides leadership in developing administrative regulations and organizational structures, decision-making processes, and staff action plans that allow the district to fulfill its vision and goals.
